Ever seen thousands of horses stampeding across the open praires of the Old West? Then you are in for a treat when you seen thousands (maybe hundreds) or just 50 powerful dachshunds running across the open fields at St. Luke's this October 2nd, 2010. Dust, spit, legs, tails, barking, yelling, and that's just the dog owners!
Get Your Doggies Ready now for the Great Stampede! This year the race will be all at one time, with all dachshaunds running together across our field, with winners taken from each heat and onto the final. As in the past, this will be the sporting event of the summer!
All dogs and owners will race over a 25 yard open field track. No leashes allowed. Winners from each heat will progress to the next heat. There will be three winners overall in the morning and three in the afternoon. Everyone can race in both.
The most important concern is for safety of dogs and owners. Bring poop bags please! When not racing all animals must be on a leash or under control for bigger animals.
There will be three stampedes in 2010 at 10 am 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Bring your doggies out on Race Day Saturday Oct. 2nd and register on site! $5 per dachshund for all three races!
Awards for the various places will awarded to all winers.
